Our Beliefs

The Bible is truth, the fully inspired Word of God and is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life. 

There is one true God eternally and co-equally existent as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus is the Son of God sent to save the world.  On earth, Jesus was fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, performed miracles, and died as a sacrifice of atonement through the shedding of His blood.  God raised Jesus from the dead.  He ascended to Heaven and will return again in power and glory.    

The Holy Spirit is coequal with God the Father and God the Son. The Holy Spirit comforts, convicts, sanctifies, and empowers.  

People are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.  If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  All are called to repent, believe, and be baptized as part of a response to Christ as Lord and Savior.  Baptism by immersion symbolizes our sharing in His death, burial, and resurrection and the washing away of our sins. 

We believe that the kingdom or reign of God is both a present reality and future hope.  We believe that wherever God’s will is done, the kingdom or reign of God is present.  We believe the complete restoration of all of creation is still to come and will take place at Jesus’ return.  Christ will one day soon return and judge all people.  Believers will be welcomed into God’s presence.  Unbelievers will be separated from God’s presence.  Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
